West, a troubled teenager, is convinced that the world is ending on the 21st of December 2012. Burdened by a traumatic past and his delusions, he has made the decision to head into his pressumably- short life that he has left, indulging in every kind of experience. A loner, a pariah by his peers, is “free” from any kind of commitment. However, life takes its course and gradually two people insert into West’s life: joyful and loyal Anri, a neighbor and classmate that doesn’t seem to get overthrown by West’s attitude towards self-isolation and cynicism and then, Tabitha, a peculiar girl that will awake West’s romantic nature. Resisting at first to this new order of things, West’s life seems to have gained a new meaning in friendship and companionship. A tragic event and the unwashed memory of what he sees as an unforgiven sin of his past feed his delusions. What seals the deal to his unconventional path is a cult dedicated to “the end of the world”. A story of guilt, adolescence and coming of age. The tale of West: a cynic by choice who can’t go against his deep need for connection and affection.
